The TalentLab XR programme is building the future of immersive storytelling by taking artists’ to the frontiers of the digital universe.

My role

I was responsible for the visual direction of this innovative mixed-reality project.

Creative thinking

While Extended Reality is leading the way in art and innovation, many artists still find new technology daunting and are unsure how to integrate it into their work.

I reduced the emphasis on the ‘tech’ aspect of mixed reality and instead presented XR as a fresh set of tools for creating meaningful experiences. The art direction and design expressed creativity, personal growth and human interaction, using an iconic ‘XR muse’, an ethereal colour palette and a modern typeface.

The programme succeeded in attracting multicultural artists and storytellers from diverse backgrounds.
