About

A mix of photography, film and spoken word, the L8Unseen multimedia exhibition at the Museum of Liverpool captured the unique spirit and heritage of the vibrant and diverse Liverpool8 neighbourhood.

My role

I was tasked to design the website and shape the user experience to keep this unique exhibition alive online.

The goal was to not only bring the exhibition online, but also complement it with additional content and interactivity.

Capture the essence of the exhibition: interface, layout, typography and photography layout were directly inspired by the exhibition design.

Keep the stories alive:  the focus was put on immersing visitors in the exhibition narrative and letting them browse freely through the website.

Be interactive: the website featured additional content such as BTS footage, visitors stories, spoken word, informations on photoshoot locations, written pieces and more.

The website gave a permanent venue to the exhibition, where visitors can freely discover the L8Unseen exhibition.

The immersive approach, multiple user flows and intuitive navigation retained visitors attention and resulted in longer than average browsing sessions.
